Omni-FI
Omni-FI is a Mauritian fintech building open banking infrastructure for the local market. It provides APIs that connect businesses and individuals to their bank data, acting as a regulated trust layer between financial applications and banks.
Challenges
Despite a growing number of businesses in Mauritius, no local open banking solution exists. At the same time, sharing banking credentials with a third-party app raises immediate trust concerns for users, making it critical for Omni-FI to be perceived as a credible and secure intermediary.
Solution
Two interfaces were designed, a webapp for businesses to integrate and manage the API, and a browser widget for end-users to connect their bank data. The design positions Omni-FI as a discreet but trustworthy intermediary, communicating clearly what the platform can and cannot access, while maintaining the brand's institutional visual identity.
